January 16, 2010; 9:10 p.m. - Did you Know??

Hello fellow Coursemates and Ms. Okland: I have been on an assignment today. I have spent studying this blog deal, taking its directions and building and building on my own. I came across a question on the page where you are telling your fellow bloggers about yourself, etc. that has a place on that page asking for your IM. I sat and piddled, writing scenarios, how would they use it? Network is connected to this: So, now what does this mean? Finally, I went into a search mode and stayed in it until I got my answer. If you got stuck on it, I've learned that many have! Okay! Here we go!: "IM" means Instant Message! Now, it is speaking of a Network and you have to define it. Click on that arrow down box and look at the options. Your Network is: The place where you have set-up your e-mail. Yahoo, google, Incredimail, whatever. So you select the network and then type in the address of your E-mail: I put in the one I had from day one. paulag1@bis.midco.net ; Midco is my network, in Bismarck @ my address under my name. It is like following a trail of breadcrumbs backwards. That is the information that they are looking for. Your home page URL is the page that comes up when you bring up your internet to check your e-mail. Why they can't tell you that - I have no idea. But! They were tough as nails and then I got mad and I thought "okay - you want to play? Let's go!" and I put in my original e-mail address through my e-mail company network. Guess what! That was exactly what they wanted!!! So! For those having problems - try this. It worked for me and all of a sudden, it liked me and my responses.....go figure!!!
